Accessibility Statement

Our commitment
Glasgow Kitchen Fitters wants everyone to be able to use kitchenfittersglasgow.com and to get a kitchen quote, whatever their sight, hearing, mobility or cognitive needs. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing job rather than a one-off audit.
What we have done
- Semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate page structure.
- A skip link and a single main landmark on every page.
- Keyboard access to all navigation, menus, forms and buttons, with visible focus styles.
- Text and interface colours checked for contrast against our backgrounds.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and decorative images hidden from screen readers.
- Form fields with visible labels, clear error messages and touch targets sized for mobile use.
- Responsive layouts that reflow to 320px and support zoom to 200% without loss of content.
- Reduced motion respected for anyone with that preference set on their device.
Known limitations
We are aware of the following and are working on them:
- The embedded Google map on our contact page is a third party component and is not fully keyboard or screen reader friendly. Our full address is always published in text next to it.
- Some older gallery and case study photographs have brief alternative text that we are steadily improving.
- Content on third party sites we link to, such as review platforms and manufacturers, is outside our control.
Alternative ways to reach us
If any part of the site stops you getting a quote, you do not have to use the form. Email hello@kitchenfittersglasgow.com or call +44 7868 253586 and we will take your details, talk the options through, and send information in a format that suits you, including large print or plain text.
Accessibility in your home
We also design and install accessible kitchens, including height adjusted worktops, pull down and pull out storage, wider circulation space for wheelchair users, lever taps and contrast markings for low vision. Mention it when you enquire and we will design around it.
Reporting a problem
If you find a barrier on this website, please tell us at hello@kitchenfittersglasgow.com. Include the page address and what happened. We aim to reply within 5 working days and to fix confirmed issues as quickly as we reasonably can. If you are not happy with our response, please use our complaints procedure.
Enforcement
We follow the Equality Act 2010 duty to make reasonable adjustments. If you believe we have not met that duty, the Equality Advisory and Support Service (equalityadvisoryservice.com, 0808 800 0082) provides free advice.
