About us and what we do

Stonefield Kitchens is a trading name of Stone Group, a sole trader based in Glasgow. We are an introducer and recommendation service. We connect homeowners with independent local Home Improvements who we have vetted. We are not Home Improvements ourselves, we do not carry out any of the work, and we are not the contractor for any job.

Our role, and what it is not

Our role is limited to recommending and introducing you to independent traders we believe are a suitable match for your enquiry. Any quotation, contract, price, schedule, work, and guarantee is agreed directly between you and the independent trader you choose. We are not a party to that agreement.

Our vetting

Before recommending a trader, we carry out due diligence and we monitor the traders in our network on an ongoing basis, including the feedback they receive. If a trader falls below the standard we expect, we stop recommending them. This means we only put forward traders we are willing to recommend based on our checks. However, our vetting is a process, not a guarantee: we cannot and do not guarantee the quality, conduct, timing, pricing, or outcome of any work carried out by an independent trader.

Our liability

Because we do not carry out the work, we are not responsible or liable for the work done by any independent trader, including their workmanship, conduct, delays, costs, or any dispute arising from the job. Any issue with the work itself is between you and the trader who carried it out.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

No guaranteed outcome

Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee that a suitable trader will be available or that you will receive a quote. Our service is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis.

Cost

Our service is free to you as the homeowner making the enquiry.

Use of this website

The content on this website belongs to us and may not be copied or reused without permission. You agree to use the site and our service lawfully and to provide accurate information in your enquiry.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
