What does the first home visit involve?
The first home visit involves a 60–90 minute conversation about how you use your kitchen, followed by a rough site inspection of walls, services and access constraints.
The designer asks about cooking habits, storage needs, appliance preferences and budget band, then walks the room to note windows, radiators, consumer unit position and any obvious structural risks. No commitment is required.
How is a Glasgow kitchen laser-measured?
A Glasgow kitchen is laser-measured with a Leica or Bosch distance meter to millimetre accuracy across every wall, opening and service position.
Laser-measured plans are the reason cabinetry fits on the first attempt. Older Glasgow tenements often have walls that are up to 40 mm out of square over 3 m — the surveyor records exact opposite-corner diagonals so cabinets are cut to compensate.
How many design revisions are included?
Two rounds of 3D layout revisions are included as standard, with real material and appliance samples brought to your home for the second round.
Round one presents the proposed layout, unit heights and worktop material options. Round two finalises door style, colour, handles, worktop edging and appliance model numbers. Further rounds are available on request but rarely needed.
How are Glasgow tenement quirks handled at design stage?
Glasgow tenement quirks are handled at design stage by checking factor consent, chimney breast retention, close access widths and Council parking permit routes before the quote is issued.
The survey confirms whether cabinetry will fit up the close, whether a chimney breast must stay for a shared flue, and whether Glasgow City Council parking permits are needed for skip drop and cabinetry delivery. All of this is priced into the fixed quote — no surprise costs on install day.
What is included in the fixed-price quote?
The fixed-price quote is itemised across cabinetry, worktop, sink and tap, appliances, labour, waste removal and any Building Warrant fees where applicable.
Each line shows product code and unit price. Provisional sums are used only for finishes that depend on final measurement (splashbacks, cornice, plinth). Once you sign, the quote is locked; the only reason to change it is a client-initiated change.
